4. Kristen Stewart's Fear Of Water - Underwater

Slow clap for Kristen Stewart on this one. She could've easily phoned in the rest of her acting career following the massive success of Twilight. But, if anything, her experience from the series seems to have freed her up to take riskier and riskier projects. To that end, it certainly looks like she outdid herself by making Underwater.

For people with a fear of water, a film about a drilling station miles below sea level while water crashes through would be one to steer clear from. But not Stewart here. Not shying away from a challenge, she initially told director William Eubank that her hate for water was the main reason she was on board, to everyone's dumbfounded surprise.

Of course, she was terrified throughout the shoot. Her phobia, combined with ridiculously heavy suits and situational claustrophobia must have been an absolute hell to get through. Thankfully, it looks like the intensity of filming paid off, with Eubank explaining that the place she went to as an actress unmistakably came through for audiences to witness. And it's hard to argue, the sheer terror in her performance had indeed unsettled many.

So kudos Kristen for taking that bonkers leap.
