Quentin Tarantino's roaring rampage of revenge resulted in Uma Thurman's Bride becoming one of the most iconic movie characters of the 21st Century, so it is only fitting that she would wield a weapon to match. Traveling to Okinawa, The Bride convinces legendary sword-maker Hattori Hanzo to renege on his oath never to make another sword again after informing him of what she plans to do with it. What she does with it is cut a bloody swathe through the Crazy 88 in a stunning fight scene, before decapitating Lucy Liu's O-Ren Ishii in a snow-decked Japanese garden. Strangely, this would be the only one of the five names on The Bride's list to be killed with the Hanzo sword but don't let that piece of trivia detract from the sheer bad-assery presented onscreen anytime Beatrix Kiddo wields her signature weapon.
I don't do social media, so like or follow me in person but please maintain a safe distance or the authorities will be notified. Don't snap me though, I'll probably break. I was once labelled a misogynist on this very site in a twenty paragraph-long rant for daring to speak ill of the Twilight franchise. I stand by what I said, it's crap.
