9. Star Wars: Rise Of Skywalker - Emperor Palpatine Face Melt
Though 2019's Rise of Skywalker didn't get everything absolutely right, it did manage to thoroughly kill off Emperor Palpatine in seriously horrific fashion.
Honestly, when you watch this one back, it's hard to believe it came during a 12A action fantasy feature.
In the epic final battle, Rey harnessed the power of all the fallen Jedi of the past and used both Luke and Leia's lightsabers to deflect the evil Dark Lord of the Sith's lightening back onto himself - ala Mace Windu in Revenge of the Sith.
However, unlike Windu, Rey was able to fully seal the deal and blast Palpatine into oblivion. But, not before we clearly saw the big bad's own force lightening singe his face off.
This grim ending may have been undoubtedly deserved for such a despicable villain, yet you can bet that a few of the kids walking out of this Star Wars adventure were left genuinely traumatised by the whole ordeal.
At least it will teach them a lesson. If you head down the path to the Dark Side, there's good chance you could get your face peeled off by force lightening.
