8. Rambo: Last Blood - Ripping Hugo's Heart Out
Just when you think you've seen it all, a 70-something Sylvester Stallone comes along and reminds you why you should never doubt John Rambo's ability to leave your jaw on the floor.
Over the years, we've seen Sly's arse kicking war veteran stabbing, shooting and exploding a whole host of enemies on the big screen. Yet, he may have saved his most gruesome kill ever for his latest and possibly final outing as the character.
After Rambo has successfully lured Hugo Martinez to his ranch (thanks to Rambo decapitating his brother Victor for his part in killing Gabrielle) Hugo's men all fall to the various traps which have been set on the premises. This leaves Hugo all alone, just the way Rambo wanted him.
Rambo then proceeds to pin Hugo to the wall with a bow and arrow before he uses a knife to rip open his chest and pull out his heart. Yep, that'll do it.
If this truly is Rambo's last stand, then he's gone out off the back of one of the most shockingly hideous kills in his entire back catalogue... and that is bloody well saying something.
