10 Ridiculously Underrated Movie Remakes Everyone Must Watch

8. Fright Night

The Italian Job 2003
Columbia Pictures

Fright Night, the spooky, silly 1985 horror comedy from Tom Holland (the Child's Play director, not the MCU actor) was no classic to begin with, but the film had a uniquely eighties combination of chilling horror and coming of age comedy which the likes of Gremlins, The Monster Squad, and Night of the Comet were also built on.

When a remake was announced fans were hesitant, but fortunately 2011's Fright Night is a fun revisit of the familiar "my new neighbour is a vampire" territory.

Featuring the always underrated Colin Farrell circa his mid career In Bruges era comeback as the charming vampire and the late, great Anton Yelchin as our teen hero, the film rounds out its cast with a young and superb Imogen Poots who, alongside McLovin himself Christopher Mintz Plasse, makes this one well worth a watch.
