10 Saddest Horror Movie Moments

I really want to know if Ari Aster is okay. Genuinely, when he first burst onto the big screen back in 2018 with the incredible Hereditary, I figured he must have some skeletons in his closet. Or heads on the road. He really didn’t hold back when it came to shocking horror, and the death of what we thought was going to be the main character due to the way the film was advertised.

The moments after Charlie's death in the movie, where Peter drives home, are as shocking for him as the audience. That said, what follows is a of scene bloodcurdling tragedy.

Toni Collette is absolutely and utterly incredible in her revelatory scene; her animalistic howls of pain are haunting, sending chills down your spine and an ache in your heart.

Watching Annie sob, rocking back and forth and watching the tiny coffin descend into the ground is so sad it makes you want to throw up, and Peter's inability to process what he did makes us feel hugely sorry for him. None of these events were the fault of the Graham family, and we have to watch their grief rip them apart.
