6. Snow White's Satanic Woods - Snow White And The Seven Dwarves (1937)
For a lot of people, the Queens transformation from easy on the eyes to horrendous and haggard is the most upsetting scene from Snow White. For others it might be when she meets her demise by falling from a cliff, but scariest of all is the scene earlier in the film where Snow White is just walking along, happy and unassuming, then the next moment shes in a shadowy forest of floating eyes and shrieking music with ghastly, unspeakable and indescribable nightmarish-madness! There are tree branches that become grasping hands, vines to get tangled in and angry faces in the tree trunks. What happened? Are these like the killer plants from that horror movie The Ruins? At least the friendly woodland creatures come and help her after the nightmare ends. The haunted forest comes out of nowhere and its not even clear whats going on because of the gloominess. While its easy to understand whats going on with the Queens transformation, its never made clear what exactly happened in those wacko woods. Hopefully the seven dwarfs just logged the area to make it safer for everyone.
