8. The Jaw Rip - Mirrors
Alexandre Aja's loose remake of the 2003 South Korean horror film Into the Mirror may not live up to the promise of its setup, but nevertheless delivers one traumatic death scene viewers won't ever forget.
The film revolves around a malevolent force which uses mirrors to attack its victims, and in one mid-film sequence makes short work of protagonist Ben Carson's (Kiefer Sutherland) poor sister Angela (Amy Smart).
While Angela's taking a bath, her reflection in the bathroom mirror begins to tear its own jaw apart, causing the very same thing to happen to the real, incredibly terrified Angela in the bathtub.
It's a nauseatingly violent but exceptionally well-executed sequence, and is sure to leave you creeped out around mirrors for days.
