10 Scariest Moments In MCU History
6. Tony's Vision - Avengers: Age Of Ultron
As creepy and as disturbing as Thor’s vision of Ragnarok was, it was outdone by what Wanda put in Tony Stark’s head. He had already been suffering from PTSD after seeing the other side of the wormhole created by the Tesseract in New York, and this was only exploited even more.
This was ultimately the vision that forced him to revisit the idea of Ultron, so worried was he that his only option was to put a suit of armour around the world. A cold world perhaps, but one at least where he and his Avenging teammates would survive.
When Wanda got in Tony’s head, she toyed with images of the Chitauri, in particular the huge leviathans floating through the sky heading through the wormhole toward Earth, but the main event was seeing every one of the original Avengers lying dead at his feet.
Even after the Hulk was riddled with arrows, Black Widow and Hawkeye unmoving, and the God of Thunder dead, possibly the most harrowing image was Cap’s shield lying broken next to Steve's body. There aren’t a huge amount of jump scares in the MCU, but Rogers grabbing Stark’s hand was one of them.
