10 Scariest Movies Where No One Dies
7. The Watcher in the Woods
Directed by classic cult horror helmer John Hough, of Legend of Hill House fame, 1980's The Watcher in the Woods is a very rare foray into the world of horror for the Walt Disney Company, of all people.
This gothic story follows a pair of young sisters who investigate the possibly paranormal disappearance of a local girl in the dark woods by their house, and its often surprisingly spooky and suspenseful in its slow burn storytelling.
Scarier than its standard issue YA premise sounds, this one is still not quite dark enough to off anyone, although the trippy and difficult to decipher ending does call to mind the equally creepy likes of Picnic at Hanging Rock and The Beguiled.
