10 Scariest PG Rated Movies EVER MADE
3. Jaws
The original PG horror movie and still forever the greatest, Poltergiest producer/ screen legend Steven Spielberg’s classic blockbuster horror Jaws was released upon an entirely unsuspecting audience in the summer of 1975 and blew its competitors out of the water (sorry, couldn't resist).
Filled with snappy dialogue and masterful character work, this suspenseful monster movie also boasted some genuinely terrifying sequences, from the opening less-is-more fatal night swim to the later horrifying severed head reveal which it's still hard to believe made it into a PG movie.
Despite these moments the movie is impressively light on gore, a trick which the director pulled off and too many of his inevitable imitators couldn't quite succeed at.
