10 Scariest Short Horror Films You've Probably Never Seen

2. My House Walk-Through (2016)

Although this short film's description states "This is not a horror video", it only takes a few seconds of watching My house walk-through to realise that this is one of the most unnerving found-footage horror films of recent years.

Created by Japanese visual artist and experimental filmmaker PiroPito, this 12-minute video sees the unnamed resident give a tour of their decaying home in the middle of the night as a typhoon rages outside.

The home's crumbling ceiling and rotting decor are the initial clues that something isn't right. However, things only become more twisted when viewers realise the person is walking through a loop of the same hallways and closed-off rooms. As the surroundings begin to change during each loop, viewers slowly begin to piece together the tragic tale of the family's history and why this house is haunted.

A creeping sense of dread permeates every frame of My house walk-through, and viewers will hold their breath each time a door opens or whenever the camera moves around a corner as they anticipate something terrible to be waiting in the darkness. The scariest hallway since P.T., this short doesn't loosen its grip on its audience until the nightmare is over.
