This movie - which released in some countries under the name Hacked - takes the same concepts as Ratter but brings them up to a whole new level. It's a sadistic and violent film that tackles the fear of becoming a victim to your devices and becomes more and more terrifying as it plays out.

The Den tells the story of a young sociology student named Elizabeth, who researches people's conversational habits on a chat site called The Den. However, a chance encounter brings a spiral of chaos and confusion, as her accounts and devices are hacked, and a collection of nightmarish stalkers begin to invade her life.

Since the use of the internet became an integral part of the modern world, there have been stories exploring the hidden darkness lurking there. Urban myths about the dark web and horrible snuff films have coincided with the rise of online technology, and this film seeks to exploit that.

It invades your comfort zone as it explores how safe you genuinely are when using the internet. You have no way of knowing that you won't get suckered into some horrifying and inescapable fate, and it makes this film a frightening watch.
