7. Lee Sang Chul - #Alive
Another Korean movie, #Alive centres mostly around one man trapped in his apartment block whilst the world around him goes to hell.
Oh Joon-woo is a video game streamer who must barricade himself inside his flat when a zombie infection takes hold of the city of Seoul. However, Oh's good nature gets the better of him when he lets fellow tenant Lee Sang Chul take refuge in his home.
Unbeknownst to Oh, Lee has already been bitten. Even worse, he didn't wipe his feet on the way in! What a monster.
After pleading with his neighbour for help, Lee slowly begins to turn. His eyes start to bleed, he starts to convulse erratically, before he flings himself at the locked door and dies peacefully.
Only joking! He lunges at Oh with a horrendous squeal, forcing the streamer to chuck him out.
The confined setting of #Alive adds tension throughout the movie, but this scene especially. Oh is completely trapped by his own decision to let Lee in, the anxiety of his mistake perfectly transferring onto the audience.
As for the actual turn, that jump scare when Lee attacks Oh is enough to make anybody #PoopTheirPants.
