10 Scariest Zombie Transformations In Movies

3. Chase - Overlord

Train To Busan
Paramount Pictures

Presented against the backdrop of a real-life horror, 2018's Overlord manages to make World War 2 even worse!

A group of soldiers involved in the D-Day landings come across a French village used by the Nazis for sick experiments. And not "sick" as in the good kind. The bad kind.

They capture a German soldier, who shoots dead a Private named Chase. His friend Boyce, who had witnessed a man come back from the dead in a Nazi laboratory earlier in the film, injects Chase with a serum he stole from the lab.

His plan works, but it might have worked a little too well.

Chase begins to panic upon coming back to life (as you would), before he slams his head into a wooden beam. He then begins to contort, bones and muscles revoltingly pressing through his skin. He is eventually put down for good by friends, but not before scaring the bejeezus out of all of them.

Nothing beats a bit of body horror, and Chase's frantic cries for help and worried facial expressions during his transformation only serve to make things worse.

Props to actor Iain De Caestecker, even if he did give us all nightmares.
