10 Scenes That Could Have Been Cut From Zack Snyder's Justice League

While Silas Stone is working in STAR Labs, he regularly interacts with a nanotechnologist called Ryan Choi. Comic fans know Choi as the third official superhero to go by the name, The Atom. Even though he appeared in the tv series, The Flash, this is the first time the diminutive superhero has appeared in a movie.

Considering Choi is one of the few few Asian superheroes, it's fantastic that Zack Snyder incorporated him into Justice League. The problem is that he doesn't bring anything to the story. If he used his nanotech expertise to figure out how to trigger the Mother Box, his inclusion would be understandable. Instead, he's just a scientist that Silas Stone bounces ideas off.

If Choi appeared in one scene, it would be a nice little cameo (no pun intended) that fans would appreciate. But since he appears repeatedly and doesn’t do anything except let us know he’s there, it comes across as pure fan-service. Because he doesn’t showcase his powers, viewers unfamiliar with the character will find it odd why the STAR Labs scenes are focusing on his character.
