10 Sci-Fi Movie Crossovers We'd Love To See

7. Blade Runner/Inception

The Terminator/Robocop
Sony Pictures Releasing/Warner Bros.

When it comes to ground-breaking science fiction films that present a stylish and thought-provoking outlook on what the genre is capable of, none handle it quite as well as these two properties.

Blade Runner was one of the first-ever products to include a future that felt raw and dystopian, and this was something that the sequel continued. On the other hand Inception presented a fascinating idea around what would be possible if you could invade another person's sub-conscious and was/still is a substantial cinematic presence.

The two bear a striking approach to visual storytelling, with the fantastic cinematography and awe-inspiring set pieces. But additionally, they both have a philosophy that explores the concept of thought, consciousness and life, even if they address it in contrasting ways. Blade Runner explores what it means to be human and think, whereas Inception dares to ask what could happen if your thoughts were invaded.

The combination of these two features would make for an excellent looking film, but could also delve into some very existential and heavy subject matter.
