Have you ever woken up somewhere strange? Maybe in a house you don't recognise? Maybe at the foot of the bed? Or perhaps a giant structure that's designed to kill you?

Wait, what was that last one?

The Canadian independent sci-fi horror movie Cube opens with a man coming to in a dark room with no idea how he got there. He doesn't have long to think about this though, as he's about to die a brutal death.

Whilst trying to escape, the man exits one cube-shaped room and enters another. Unfortunately, as soon as he puts his feet down, a thin metal mesh swings open, chopping him up into tiny little pieces.

The pieces were cubes though, so at least his death was on theme.

This is all a prelude to five more people waking up in the cube, challenged with getting free without succumbing to its many traps.

Thinking about the abject terror of waking up stuck in the world's deadliest obstacle course is enough to give anyone nightmares, especially when you think about how you might do when faced with this scenario.

Bet you're wishing you worked out now, eh.
