2. A Glitch In The Matrix - Bliss

Mike Cahill's new sci-fi drama Bliss is an ambitious - and yes, deeply flawed - film about a recently divorced man, Greg (Owen Wilson), whose life unravels amid both a psychotic break and a drug problem spiralling wildly out of control.

Much of the film is centered on the belief of his new friend Isabel (Salma Hayek) that the world is in fact a computer simulation, and so Cahill ensures to fill the film with a number of tricky visual flourishes to have the audience questioning their own sense of reality.

Though some are more subtle than others, there's one brilliantly noodle-baking trick that occurs roughly 19 minutes into the movie shortly after Greg is first introduced to Isabel.

When they're talking on the street, a woman walking along the opposite side of the street is suddenly replicated three times, as if a glitch in a computer simulation.

It's one of those slyly brilliant Easter eggs that's hidden in plain sight and easy to miss, but will immediately melt your brain if you catch it - all the better if you decided to watch the movie without seeing the trailer first.
