10 Scrapped Horror Movie Scenes Better Than What We Got

6. Hallway Decapitations - M3GAN

The second people caught a glimpse of the titular doll strutting her stuff down a hallway during its first few trailers, they knew they were in for a creepy but often hilarious ride with M3GAN.

Sure enough, that's precisely what arrived in theatres in 2022. But said hallway sequence was actually somewhat dialled down compared to what director Gerard Johnstone originally had planned.

As he'd tell Empire, in an earlier version of the scene which eventually sees M3GAN (Amie Donald/Jenna Davis) kill both David (Ronny Chieng) and his assistant Kurt (Stephane Garneau-Monten), the murderous doll actually chopped down a few other Funki employees along the way.

As they each popped their heads out to see what was happening in the hallway, M3GAN would proceed to slice them off. Lovely.

In the end, though, it was said that scheduling conflicts resulted in that far more bloodier, and likely even more iconic, version of the famous sequence being scrapped, saving a number of Funki folks' heads in the process.

But who knows, perhaps the sequel will come with some heads going for an absurd roll.
