8. Star-Lord Meets Howard The Duck - Avengers: Infinity War

Howard the Duck (as voiced by Seth Green) has had three surprise appearances in the MCU so far, making fleeting cameos in both Guardians of the Galaxy movies and, most recently, the final battle in Avengers: Endgame.

But Howie very nearly had a fourth movie to his name, with the character originally written into Avengers: Infinity War.

Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) would've ended up tracking him down to a poker game in space, for some reason, and for the first time in the franchise, the character would've actually contributed something to the story.

Better still, Anthony Russo confirmed that Howard was going to be voiced by Community alum Ken Jeong, who ultimately ended up playing a security guard in Endgame.
