10 Secret Post-Credits Movie Scenes That Were Absolute Genius
4. Amanda Warns Corbett About Hoffman - Saw VI: Director's Cut
Now, here's a post-credits scene you absolutely didn't see when Saw VI hit cinemas...because the scene was only added to the Unrated version of the film's home video release.
But considering how it fundamentally alters the context of several entries into the franchise and is just super interesting for fans, it's a damn shame it was relegated to a placement where few would actually catch it.
The scene is a flashback to the end of Saw III, where Jeff (Angus Macfadyen) learns that his daughter Corbett (Niamh Wilson) has been sealed away by Jigsaw (Tobin Bell), and by killing the criminal mastermind moments earlier, Jeff will never find out where she is.
Of course, Corbett ends up being rescued by Jigsaw's apprentice, Detective Hoffman (Costas Mandylor), as seen in Saw V, but in Saw VI's post-credits scene, we see Jigsaw's other apprentice, Amanda Young (Shawnee Smith), telling young Corbett not to trust the one who saves her.
Granted, the scene might actually raise more questions than it answers. Would Corbett even know what she's talking about? And what if Rigg (Lyriq Bent) or Strahm (Scott Patterson) ended up surviving their games and rescuing her?
Nevertheless, it adds a meaty extra angle to Amanda and Hoffman's uneasy relationship, even if it probably wouldn't have easily fit into any of the prior movies.
