Coming at a time in where the Marvel Cinematic Universe had been well-established, Guardians of the Galaxy burst it wide open with a brand new cast of colourful characters not yet seen on screen before, and with humour being the backbone of the film.
The extraterrestrial side of Marvel's huge back catalogue to this point had only been touched upon in the Thor films, but Star-Lord and the rest of the Guardians take this factor to a new level.
So when it comes to the long-awaited post-credits scene that is so synonymous with every MCU movie, fans were left wondering through the punishingly long credit roller to see what was in store.
It wasn't an update on any of the Avengers or a Thanos stinger, no, it was Howard The Duck sipping what only can be described as a space martini as he questions why the Collector is allowing Cosmo to lick his face.
Yep, that is it. He did make a brief appearance in Guardians 2, but that was even more inconsequential than this scene. Maybe he was a victim of the Snap? We'll probably never know.
