9. James Bond Invites Himself Into The Shower; Looks Like A Creep - Skyfall
If you put on pretty much any Bond movie, chances are you're only 10 minutes away from a horribly outdated moment of misogynistic behaviour or a sexist comment: that's what Bond is about. Unofficially. The new era of Bond ushered in a far more sensitive interpretation of this character, however, played with rawness and a lot less, uh... "forcibility" by Daniel Craig. That's to say, there's no arse slapping and sending women off to the bedroom whilst "the men talk" in the new, modern and thoroughly rebooted Bond movies. Well, there might be one instance. In Skyfall, which recently became the highest-grossing Bond movie ever, we got to see even more of Bond's personal life than ever before, which gave us some nice insights to an otherwise paper-thin character and fleshed him out a bit. But it seemed the filmmakers couldn't make James Bond too unlike James Bond, because they included a bizarre scene where MI6's best agent invites himself into a shower with a naked girl, Severine. She doesn't ask him. He just turns up. And of course she obliges him when it happens, because this is a movie, and we don't want to spend the next hour and a half watching Bond on trial for "being a perv." But it's an unintentionally creepy moment - one that was presumably supposed to show Bond's irresistibility but instead makes him look insensitive and weird. Especially since we just learned about Severine's past, in which she was exploited as a sex worker. I'm no counsellor, but the last thing I imagine this girl needs is somebody sneaking up on her in the shower without asking about it first.
