10 On-Set Injuries You Won’t Believe Actors Worked Through

7. Channing Tatum - Burnt Penis - The Eagle

OK boys, we're warning you right now, this one is probably going to cause you some sympathy pains. Might be best to skip over this entry. Still with us? All right. On your own head be it. Once upon a time, Channing Tatum was starring in a film called The Eagle, a movie about a young Roman centurion who goes off to Celtic Britain to redeem his family's honor. Through the course of filming, there were scenes that required him to jump into freezing cold water. Tatum had only a thin wetsuit to protect him from the elements, and as an added effort to keep him from getting too cold, he would have warm water poured into his wetsuit. Only during one take, an assistant forgot to mix room temperature water in with the scalding water, creating quite an uncomfortable situation for Channing Tatum, as you can undoubtedly imagine. The result? He burnt his penis. We'll say that again: he BURNT the skin off his PENIS. Whatever he made on that film, it was not enough.
