6. Lupita Nyongo Is Asajj Ventress
One of those witches is one Asajj Ventress, who escapes the massacre of the majority of her tribe parallels with the elder and younger Skywalker from the other two trilogies there and was a pretty big deal throughout The Clone Wars show, too. The rumours that Lupita Nyong'o, cast following her Oscar-winning supporting role in 12 Years A Slave, might play Asajj are so rife that multiple Photoshops of her made up like the character have been making the rounds. It would be pretty cool, and definitely thinking outside the box when it comes to bringing new characters into the fold. Ventress is a member of the Sith who duelled with Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker at the same time, whilst wielding dual red lightsabers. Oh yeah, now Darth Maul sounds like less of an exciting prospect. Leaning heavily on the past seems like something The Force Awakens will be doing a lot of, based on that first trailer, but will it be grabbing as much from the prequel-era stuff as it does from the Original Trilogy? That remains to be seen. It'd be a shame from Nyong'o to be covered up in alien make up, too, but man, live-action Asajj Ventress would be badass.
