10 Shocking (But Believable) Theories About Star Wars: The Last Jedi
8. Rey And Kylo Get Together
They didn't seem to be getting along so well in The Force Awakens, but this plausible theory from Forbes' Paul Tassi suggests Rey and Kylo will become an unlikely Star Wars power couple in The Last Jedi.
This would be more than a pointless romance designed to inject some pulpy emotion into the sequel. Their union could potentially reshape the Star Wars universe by symbolising the end of the Jedi-Sith dichotomy.
The theory goes that Rey and Kylo will shift to the centre of the Force once united, embracing both the light and darkness within one another.
Tying in with the idea about Luke ending the Jedi to pave the way for a new generation of 'grey' Force users, the pair may become the first members of a new order who wield the power of the galactic knights while enjoying Sith-like freedom.
A drastic move like this is needed to balance the Force since the Jedi's dogmatic, puritanical ways are imperfect and were the path to the Dark Side for Anakin.
The Last Jedi's trailer seems to indicate that Luke eventually refuses to train Rey up in the ways of the Force any further because she becomes too powerful, which gives Snoke and Kylo the opportunity to bring her on side. Perhaps she will grow close to the latter and together they will overthrow his puppet master.
