Even eleven movies into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, not many fans likely expected any characters outside of Thor or Odin to use Mjolnir. Not even Captain America seemed quite worthy enough yet.

Apparently these rules do not apply to new-born androids with infinity stones in their heads, as Vision was able to lift Mjolnir with ease mere minutes after awakening. The Avengers themselves were baffled alongside audiences; what had this character done to merit his worthiness?

The simple answer is nothing, and that the moment was little more than a plot device to convince characters and viewers alike that Vision was trustworthy.
