7. Dutch Hair - Austin Powers: Goldmember
One of the funniest things about 2002's 'Austin Powers in Goldmember' was the celebrity cameos portraying the film's characters in a 'film within a film' scenario. In the terrific and action-packed opening segment, we get tiny Tom Cruise as International Man of Mystery Austin Powers, Gwyneth Paltrow as the voluptuous Dixie Normous, Kevin Spacey as cackling Dr. Evil and the brilliant Danny DeVito as Mini Me, clearly embracing the audacity of their guest-spots and having a hoot. Then towards the end of the film, Mike Myers' Goldmember lifts himself up and dusts himself down after quite a nasty fall from the railings, only to reveal himself as none other than John Travolta. Being Travolta, he of course throws in a few cheeky dance moves. John is hilarious with the mocked Dutch accent (
"He-ey! Ash-holes!") and is clearly wearing an unflattering hairpiece for the part - or is he? No, he is, but it's probably something he's used to by 2002. As Goldmember however, he isn't going to be causing many fluttering hearts, and the hairstyle can only be described as 'ungraciously unkempt' at best.
