10 Most Shocking John Travolta Haircuts

Hairspray

Another wig here (I hope), as John transforms himself into the larger-than-life Edna Turnblad in the smash-hit 2007 musical film 'Hairspray'. Camper than Christmas and Louis Walsh combined, the film is set in the 60's and tackles racial segregation with some catchy dance tunes. It follows Edna's overweight but go-getting daughter Tracy, as she attempts to gain a place on the local teen dance programme 'The Corny Collins Show'. In doing so she breaks down some racial barriers and shows the world that this big girl's got some serious moves. Uh-huh!

I'll admit, this Travolta transformation does something funny to me. Whereas his turn as skin-eating Goldmember doesn't arouse any arousal down below, there's something about Edna. You can barely recognise Travolta under the prosthetics and make-up, and he creates a fun-loving and sympathetic character who I imagine gives the best cuddles. So here's John in drag, and doesn't he look marvellous? He's bold, vivacious, and really pulls off the look which worries me slightly.

Steven feels like a sociopath writing a bio about himself in third person, but it feels kind of nice, and he's sure he'll get used to it.
