A case of not knowing when to quit one-upping itself, the original poster for Hostel: Part II featured a wall of pink torn flesh. When it had to be removed from movie theaters following complaints, the-powers-that-be only went and combined it with another separate poster for the film - which featured actress Bijou Phillips naked... holding her own head.
Thus, we had an unnecessarily gruesome image of Bijou Phillips holding her own head unnervingly fading through that wall of pink flesh. And sorry, how is that any less gruesome than the first one?
Given the concept - and the fact that it was a sequel to 2005's Hostel - the artwork for Hostel: Part II was never going to be pretty, but like some of the world's greatest horror movies, it could have left some things up to the imagination.
