2. Clash of the Titans (Louis Leterrier)

Clash of the Titans The original Clash of the Titans isn't exactly a great movie, but it's a lot of fun, owing to the sheer absurd, old-fashioned silliness of it, and Ray Harryhausen's superb special effects, which look dated now but still have a highly individualist look. Louis Leterrier's remake is just a generic CGI-ified take, which features some crassly post-converted 3D - that is to say, the film looks almost identical with and without 3D glasses on - and pretty conventional action beats throughout. Worst of all, in casting Sam Worthington as a lead, we have to struggle to stay awake listening to his line readings; the guy doesn't make an even passable attempt to disguise his Australian accent, instead seeming to completely revel in it. Still, it was better than the sequel, Wrath of the Titans...
