6. Buzz Freezes Even Though He Doesn't Realize He's A Toy - Toy Story (1995)

The premise of the first ever full-length computer animated theatrical movie is genius in its simplicity; what if toys came to life as soon as their owners left the room? One of the main plot points of Toy Story is that new arrival Buzz Lightyear refuses to believe that he is actually a toy, so why does he freeze just like the rest of them whenever a human is nearby? Buzz's reluctance to accept the fact that he is a child's plaything causes plenty of tension between himself and Woody, so it seems a bit strange that he would follow suit with the rest of the gang if he believes himself to be a real-life Space Ranger. Perhaps all that training at Star Command had taught him to blend in with the locals on a strange new planet, or maybe he's just being polite and following the crowd in order to assimilate into his new and unfamiliar surroundings.

I don't do social media, so like or follow me in person but please maintain a safe distance or the authorities will be notified. Don't snap me though, I'll probably break. I was once labelled a misogynist on this very site in a twenty paragraph-long rant for daring to speak ill of the Twilight franchise. I stand by what I said, it's crap.
