4. The Protagonist Teasing A Dark Turn

One of the biggest head scratching moments from the trailers has been the previously unimaginable sight of Dark Rey. No one knows for certain if that is indeed real or perhaps some kind of Palpatine induced vision even, but it's had fans buzzing as to what it could possibly mean.

Turning back the clock to when Harry was still in his second year at Hogwarts, a somewhat similar insinuation was made regarding his own true intentions. No one has forgotten the moment he spoke in parseltongue in front of the entire school and indeed, there were some who actually considered the possibility of some dark force influencing the young hero.

This went up another level during Order of the Phoenix when owing to Voldemort’s intrusions into his mind and soul, Harry himself thought of attacking Dumbledore. Once again, it is a commonly used trope in such genres, but for two franchises as popular as these, such similarities are hard to ignore.
