8. The Hammer - Men In Black: International

Ever since Chris Hemsworth demonstrated his hilarious comedic capabilities in 2016's Ghostbusters as the idiotic yet loveable Kevin, he's been batting away his typecasting as the hunky heartthrob to become the hysterical hunky heartthrob.

The reinvigoration of his Marvel character Thor in the following years have seen Hemsworth's stock rise astronomically in Hollywood, leading to his starring role in the reboot of Men In Black. Even with Hemsworth's casting alongside fellow Thor: Ragnarok star Tessa Thompson, I can't imagine there were many cinema-goers keen to re-enter the world once inhabited by Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones.

That all changed in the closing moments of the first trailer, which saw Hemsworth fighting a losing battle with an alien, until he equipped himself with a hammer, confidently saying "looks like the tables have turned" before launching the weapon at his foe; only to see him catch it.

This was a brilliant nod to Hemsworth's work as the Asgardian superhero, and a clever subversion of what audiences have seen of the Australian over the past decade.
