10 Slasher Horror Movie Openings That Get Worse The More You Think About It

4. The Horrible Fate Of Jamie Lloyd- Halloween: The Curse Of Michael Myers

The sixth entry in the Halloween franchise, The Curse of Michael Myers is viewed by some as being the absolute worst installment in this beloved series. Taking place six years after Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers, the action here takes a hard slant towards the occult rather than merely being Michael slicing 'n' dicing because he likes to slice 'n' dice.

While actress Danielle Harris wasn't back to reprise her Jamie Lloyd role - Jamie being the niece of Myers - the character herself was back, as played by J.C. Brandy.

Depicted as a 15-year-old here, things end in brutal fashion for Jamie during Curse's opening sequence. Held captive underground by the mysterious Man in Black and his cult, poor Jamie makes a break for freedom shortly after giving birth to a baby boy. Of course, said break for freedom is cut short when Michael catches up to her and fatally impales Jamie on some farm machinery.

What makes this opening all the more disturbing, is the realisation that Jamie Lloyd had been held prisoner for six years - from age nine through until 15 - and artificially impregnated by the DNA of her uncle Michael. For over half a decade, this youngster was held against her will, abused frequently, and forced to give birth to an incestuous child.
