10 Smartest Decisions In Slasher Horror Movie History

6. Forever Prepared - Curse Of Chucky

In a real world sense, it had been twenty-two years since audiences had seen Andy Barclay in the Child's Play franchise - and twenty-three years since Alex Vincent was in the Andy role - so it was a welcome surprise to see Andy turn up in the closing scene of 2013's Curse of Chucky.

Initially pegged as a reboot, Curse of Chucky actually ended up being both a reboot and a sequel, with the Don Mancini-helmed picture showcasing that there was still plenty of life in the famed Good Guy doll.

Whilst it's Fiona Dourif's Nica who spends the majority of Curse being tormented by Chucky, the particularly smart decision of the movie comes in the film's final few moments.

It's here that franchise fans got the fist-pumping moment of seeing Alex Vincent's Andy Barclay featured, as Andy has a parcel delivered at his door. After bringing said parcel into his abode, Alex ends up on the phone to his mother, seemingly unaware that Chucky has risen from this parcel in the backdrop of Andy's phone call.

The big twist here, though, is that Andy Barclay has been smart enough to be prepared for Chucky to reappear in his life for the past 20+ years - thus Chucky is met with a shotgun-toting Andy who shoots him right between his eyes.
