10 Songs That Need To Be In Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3

3. When the Levee Breaks - Led Zeppelin

In all of the Guardians films, there has never really been a specific song focusing on the villain all that much. Seeing how most of the music comes from StarLord's Walkman, it would make sense that most of the music comes from his perspective.

At the same time, this next film could be a great opportunity to give the villain a chance to show their true colors in song, with Led Zeppelin being the perfect vehicle for culling up images of dread. "When the Levee Breaks" boasts a truly ominous tone, with a bellowing drum sound and pummeling riff from Jimmy Page. With Robert Plant providing lowdown howls on top, this could be the point in the movie where it looks like our antagonist's plan may in fact be succeeding.

Given that the Guardians always separate at some point in their films, the team may be operating at a disadvantage, allowing the villain a perfect chance to strike. Much like the levee in the song, this point in the film provides can see the villain showing the Guardians how bleak things can really get. This song's moody resonance is a great way of sonically illustrating the idea that maybe this is one time where the Guardians don't come out on top.
