10 Spider-Man Characters Who Could Headline The Female Spin-Off Movie
4. Jackpot
Who Is She? Sara Ehret was a pregnant scientist working at a subsidiary of Oscorp working on gene therapy to cure Parkinsons disease. Shes accidentally exposed to a virus called Lot 777, which rewrites her DNA and leaves her in a coma for a few months. After coming out of the coma, Sara gave birth without complications and discovers she has superhuman strength. She briefly operated as a superhero called Jackpot but then retired. Later, Sara was approached by Alana Jobson, who paid Sara for the use of her Jackpot identity and costume, an offer Sara accepted. Alana was powerless, but used a cocktail enhancement drugs to give her super powers. Although she pretends to be attracted to Spider-Man, this is just a mask to cover the fact that shes actually a lesbian. Likelihood? Jackpot has some very close ties to the world established in ASM, with Sara being an Oscorp scientist. The introduction of Alana as well could give something different with two characters sharing the same identity at different points in the film. Alanas sexuality also adds a bit more diversity to the world of superhero films. Despite all that, Jackpot is a relatively recent addition to the Spider-Man mythos, so she may appear a bit too obscure to use for the spin-off.
