Even now, it's hard to think of Anne Hathaway as anything other than an entirely wholesome good girl. Her goody goody image - not to mention her polite, though overdramatic sensibilities - makes Anne Hathaway what she is, which is no surprise given that she started out in Disney's
The Princess Diaries, which is exactly the type of movie that you're thinking it is. Presumably she opted to break this mold very quickly with her role in
Havoc. An edgy drama about teenagers who get involved in gangland activities in Los Angeles,
Havoc saw Anne Hathaway - fresh from her
Princess Diaries turn - in a role that nobody would have likely expected her to tackle so quickly. And the part required that she removed her clothing fairly frequently, too. Drinking, drugs and violence aside, this movie also featured a group sex scene. Not quite Disney material, huh? Still, it helped to define Hathaway as an actress who could throw herself into pretty much any part. Nudity prevails.
