10 Star Trek Cameos You (Probably) Missed

2. Ira Steven Behr - Star Trek: Deep Space Nine

Ira Steven Behr was the showrunner for much of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine's run, and was one of the creative forces who made it the success that it has finally been recognized as. He, along with Michael Piller, Rick Berman, Ronald D. Moore, Rene Echevarria, Thomas Hewitt Wolfe, and many more crafted a series that was both totally new for the franchise, and completely Star Trek at its heart.

In the final episode What You Leave Behind, the crew celebrates the end of the Dominion War with a drink and a toast in Vic Fontaine's lounge. Much of the crowd that makes up the clientele were in fact actors and members of the production team who wanted to be a part of the scene. While Behr is the focus here, Moore, Jeffrey Combs, and Max Grodenchik were all present in the room as well.

It was as much a scene celebrating the end of Deep Space Nine as it was about anything else, so to have these important members of the team present was entirely fitting. Spotting them all is fun, and something that will be much easier when Deep Space Nine is finally remastered in HD.
