10 Star Trek Guest Stars Who Played Iconic Movie Characters

7. Peter Weller

Wwllwlwl While Dirty Harry may be the most iconic cop, he is far from the only one, and even farther than the most unique. This honour instead goes to Detroit's finest. In fact so iconic is RoboCop, that recently declared bankrupt Detroit still found the cash (along with a popular crowd-sourcing campaign) to commission a ten-foot tall statue of the cyborg officer. Despite winning a coveted Saturn award for his portrayal of (both?) RoboCop and Alex Murphy, Weller would only appear in the first two films, forgoing the animated, and live action TV series. A small but memorable RoboCop Vs Terminator franchise was also created, but it is as the first of director Paul Verhoeven's futuristic spectacles that the film is most memorable. Verhoeven would go on to make Total Recall and Starship Troopers (reuniting with RoboCop screenwriter Ed Neumeier), and Weller would play two separate, but similar, characters in Star Trek, the xenophobic John Frederick Paxton, and Admiral Alexander Marcus.
