10 Star Wars Characters Recast With Disney Animated Characters

9. Goofy as "Jar Jar Binks"

Jar Jar Binks was without a doubt the most popular character from the Star Wars prequels (perhaps of all time) and many would say he was the character from that film that gave life back into a dieing franchise and we would all be devastated not to see him or his race of people make some sort of appearance in the future films... right? Right? A character as beloved as this one needs a beloved and iconic Disney character to match and Goofy fits the bill perfectly. By the way, in case you don't get sarcasm, I am aware of Jar Jar Binks not so stellar, and completely justified reception. Not only does Goofy look so similar to Jar Jar Binks (floppy ears, lanky) he is one of the dumbest cartoon characters ever created, and although much more beloved than Jar Jar is, I can't think of a more perfect casting choice for this role in the entire Disney universe. In fact, the more I think about it, the more I am convinced that when George Lucas sat down to create Jar Jar, he must have had Goofy somewhere in the back of his mind. The similarities are pretty striking.
