4. Baloo as "Chewbacca"
Although Disney films are filled with giant hairy companion characters, this was one of the more difficult characters to cast on this list. Chewbacca is a pretty complex character and I don't think there is anyone in the Disney universe that would do him complete justice- but Baloo is probably the best bet, though Chewbacca is much more the brave warrior type obviously. Other choices for this role included the Beast from "Beauty and the Beast"- but although he is probably as fierce and strong as Chewbacca, I find the Beast isn't quite lovable enough to fit the role as Han's companion quite so well. Other than that, I considered Sulley from Monsters Inc, but for no real reason other than they look slightly similar. Baloo on the other hand, although a little bit of a coward, is completely lovable just like Chewbacca... and when it is necessary, Baloo can be quite the force to be reckoned with. He also, much like Chewie, loves to travel with a human companion.
