Even though the younglings fell prey to Order 66 as well as the rest of the Jedi, they deserve to be mentioned separately since their fate is far more deplorable.

After the Clone Troopers commenced The Great Jedi Purge, Darth Vader personally ventures to The Jedi Temple to ensure no one survived. As he arrives in the training room, he discovers a group of Jedi children hiding. One boy, no younger than Vader when he was taken in by Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan, believes the Sith is there to take them to safety.

As Vader ignites his lightsaber in one fluid motion, the boy jerks back, acknowledging he has come face-to-face, not with his saviour, but his executioner.

Even though these younglings were Force-sensitive, there was no need for Vader to kill them since they were too young to pose a threat to The Empire. But since The Emperor ordered his apprentice to extinguish every Jedi, regardless of age, Vader believed their deaths were a necessary evil.

Although we never see the act itself, this actually makes the massacre worse since it forces the viewer to imagine all sorts of scenarios where Vader dismembers the younglings with his lightsaber.
