10 Star Wars Legends Characters We Desperately Want To Return
1. Revan
The protagonist of the 2003 video game Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Revan was originally a Jedi Knight who chose to fight in the Mandalorian Wars. After his victory in that war, he and fellow Jedi Alek travelled to the Unknown Regions and eventually returned as Sith. Now known as Darth Revan, he started the Jedi Civil War - however this didn’t last long for Revan as his mind was wiped by Jedi.
Without knowing his identity, he teamed up with a Jedi named Bastila Shan and was retrained in the Jedi arts to face Alek - now Darth Malak. He was able to defeat Malak on the Star Forge and eventually went on to marry Shan, having a child with the Jedi. Eventually, his past as a Sith returned to his memory and he returned to the Unknown Regions to face an evil Sith Emperor located there named Tenebrae. Revan was imprisoned for 300 years but eventually was able to aid the galaxy in Tenebrae’s defeat.
Revan is easily the most popular character from the Old Republic era, with his life and story being central to the video games and media set during the period. As with most other characters and events of this time period, Revan has not appeared in any canon media. However, he was set to appear in an ultimately deleted scene from Star Wars: The Clone Wars, as well as being referenced in the Rise of Skywalker: Visual Dictionary. Of all characters, Revan is easily the fan favourite choice to make a return.
