7. Obi-Wan Taking The Guys Arm Off In Mos Eisley - A New Hope
Look, Im not saying this isnt a great moment. Its iconic, amazing, brilliant. It wonderfully establishes Obi-Wan and the relationship between him and Luke. But its unspeakably stupid. Obi-Wan is one of the last remnants of an order that was ground to dust, publicly demonized. He has a price on his head that any of these scum and villains would covet. Hes been living alone in the desert for two decades hiding from the Empire, trying to keep Vader from finding out where Luke is. And ten minutes after discovering that Stormtroopers are interrogating everyone coming and going from Mos Eisley, he waves his lightsaber around a public place. The iconic weapon of a Jedi, and hes using it when he could just, I dont know, grab someones gun or something. Anything but use a lightsaber.
