10 Star Wars Things That Improved Over The Last 10 Years
1. Perception Of George Lucas And His Prequels
In the time before the Sequel Trilogy landed on screens from 2015 onwards and became one of the most divisive collection of features ever, it did feel as though a great many Star Wars fans had turned their backs on the person who forged this legendary galaxy.
The Prequels weren't exactly widely celebrated upon release, with the overall shift in tone and the way Episodes I-III were shot and crafted leaving folks who'd adored his Original Trilogy of adventures feeling a bit underwhelmed.
But with nearly two decades now passing since Revenge of the Sith arrived in cinemas back in 2005, the overall perception of George Lucas and his bold Prequels has certainly improved.
When looking back on those initially jarring CGI-stuffed visuals today, it's evident just how ahead of his time Lucas actually was once again.
The way he captured glorious space wars pitting Jedi starfighters against Separatist droid ships, unleashed some of the most spectacular lightsaber action of all time, and fully realised the aforementioned first-ever fully CGI supporting character in Jar Jar Binks has quite simply aged like a fine wine.
Sure, the likes of The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones, and Revenge of the Sith still aren't entirely perfect by any means. But rather than attempting to ignore or undersell the impact these innovative Episodes had on both the galaxy far, far away and filmmaking business, it's starting to increasingly feel like both fans and creators alike are finally giving both the Prequels and the mind behind them the flowers they deserve.
