As with the franchise's merchandise and movie/TV-making in general, the video game section of the Star Wars machine has also been constantly evolving over the years.

From those earliest days of arcade Star Wars joy, to the console adventures that arrived after the turn of the century, there's a strong chance just about every lover of George Lucas' brainchild will have at least one fond memory of jiggling a joystick or throwing a controller at the wall during one particularly frustrating Rebel mission.

Over the last ten years alone, though, some of the finest video games in the history of this galaxy have found their way onto the consoles of the masses.

After a bit of a bumpy start, 2017's Battlefront II went on to become one of the strongest multiplayer Star Wars outings of modern times. And both of Respawn Entertainment's Jedi: Fallen Order and Jedi: Survivor entries have also masterfully thrown you into a fresh, gorgeous looking story equipped with consistently enjoyable gameplay and developments.

That latter title arguably sits as the greatest Star Wars video game in decades, in fact.

Add into that the always satisfying LEGO: Star Wars chunks of madness and you have a Star Wars video game landscape that appears to just be getting better with each passing year.
