Last Film Entry: Saw X (2023)

What's Going On? With Saw X having been a surprisingly great return to form for the Saw franchise, it's already been confirmed that an 11th entry is now on the way.

Barely two months after Saw X hit cinemas last September, Lionsgate took to Instagram to announce Saw XI for 27 September 2024. And while plot details have yet to be revealed, there are plenty of Saw X threads that can easily be picked up on for this next picture.

Firstly, the return of the Mark Hoffman character - as in, one of Jigsaw's apprentices - during Saw X's mid-credits scene opens the door for him and John Kramer to fully get to work in Saw XI. Then there's the underhand, scummy Cecilia from Saw X who, despite wronging Kramer, was never actually killed off by the time that movie came to a close.

Producers Oren Koules, Mark Burg, and Josh Stohlberg are all involved with Saw XI, although it's yet to be confirmed whether Saw X's Kevin Greutert will be back in the director's chair. Prior to Saw X, Greutert had also helmed Saws VI and 3D, so he's certainly familiar with the franchise and with Hoffman; that character being a pivotal part of those earlier two films.
